Textile Manufacturing Process and its Classification

The fabric manufacturing manner includes the conversion of fibers into yarns and fabrics. This process can be divided into several stages, including:

Spinning: In this stage, fibers are transformed into yarns through a process known as spinning. During spinning, the fibers are twisted collectively to form a continuous strand of yarn.

Weaving or Knitting: In this stage, the yarns are used to create fabrics. Weaving entails the interlacing of sets of yarns at proper angles to each different to shape a flat fabric, while knitting includes the interloping of yarns to shape a stretchable fabric.

Finishing: In this stage, the fabrics are treated with numerous chemical substances or processes to improve their performance or appearance. Finishing tactics may additionally encompass scouring, bleaching, softening, or waterproofing.

Textile manufacturing tactics can be categorized into foremost categories:

Natural Fiber Production: This includes techniques that contain the manufacturing of fabrics from herbal fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, and linen. These fibers are acquired from vegetation or animals and are processed to form yarns and fabrics.

Synthetic Fiber Production: This includes tactics that involve the manufacturing of fabric from artificial fibers such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic. These fibers are made from chemical compounds and are processed to shape yarns and fabrics.

Overall, the fabric production method can be complicated and contain several stages, but it is important for generating the wide range of fabric that we use in our daily lives

Textile is a very widely used term which includes all kinds of fibers (e-g: Cotton , Jute, Wool, Viscose etc), all kinds of process (e-g: Spinning, Weaving, Knitting, Dyeing, Printing, Finishing etc), all kinds of machineries (e-g: Spinning Machineries, Weaving Machineries, Knitting Machineries, Cutting machineries etc),to convert textile fiber into finished or end use products (e-g: Garments, Furnishing Materials, Household Textiles, Medical textiles, Shoes Textiles, Fishing Nets etc).

Textile Quality Department flow chart

Textile manufacturing is a very complex and lengthy process. It is based in the conversion of three types of fiber into yarn, then fabric, then textiles. These are then fabricated into clothes or other artifacts.

Normally, the whole textile manufacturing process is divided by four branches.

These are:
  1. Yarn Manufacturing or Spinning.
  2. Fabric Manufacturing or Weaving.
  3. Dyeing, Printing & Finishing
  4. Garments Manufacturing or Clothing.
Follow the Flow Chart categories for all textile processing flow chart.
